A Content Management System is used for the control and editing electronic files, images and video based media, audio files, electronic documents and web text. The reason we need a content management system is that these vast volumes of information and files need to be maintained, modified and edited sometimes regularly and sometime not. An example would be a govenment office that would need to have documents available to the public while being update or remove the data of the website.
